Easy Ways To Prevent And Get Rid Of Wasps
Many pests are more active in summer, including wasps, and they can be especially bothersome because of their stinger. Today we’re going to show you some easy ways to prevent and get rid of wasps.
Grow Wasp-Repelling Plants
Believe it or not, there are a few plants that will repel wasps. These plants include wormwood herb, spearmint, thyme, eucalyptus, lemongrass, pennyroyal, geraniums and marigolds. You can help prevent wasps from invading your yard by using these plants in your landscaping.
Use Peppermint Oil
An easy way to keep wasps away is by using peppermint oil. Simply add a few drops to a cotton pad or cloth and place them around the outside of your home where wasps like to build nests, like porch roofs and other crevices.
Make Wasp Traps
If you’ve already noticed wasps buzzing around, you can make some do-it-yourself traps using sugar and water. All you have to do is cut the top off a two-liter bottle, fill the bottom half with sugar water, place the top half nozzle-side down into it and tape the two together. The wasps will fly into the bottle, attracted by the sugar, and get stuck.
