How To Keep Mice Out Of Your Camper
As the weather continues to cool, mice will be looking for a warm place to stay. You might have already rodent-proofed your home, but you should also make sure your camper doesn’t become a home for critters. Use these tips to keep mice away.
Block Entry Points
Make sure any vulnerable areas in your camper are blocked and sealed off. Keep in mind that a mouse can fit through a hole the size of a dime, so any gap should be repaired. Spray foam is a great option, but you can also use mesh screens or steel wool.
Clean It Up
Keeping your camper clean is also important for warding off critters. Remove any food or secure it in a cabinet or cupboard. We also recommend always using airtight containers for storing anything edible all year around. Keeping everything clean will take snack temptations away from rodents and make it a less appealing place to burrow.
Set Up Traps
To further protect your camper, you can set up traps in and around your camper. This is just another safeguard to make sure these pesky rodents stay out.
Use Rodent Repellent
Some people swear by natural or homemade mouse repellent, like fabric softener sheets, Irish Spring soap, moth balls and peppermint oil. These are easy things to find and are said to deter mice.
